This month we look into the 2024 edition of the Where to Invest in Africa report, a comprehensive analysis of the top investment destinations on the continent, developed by RMB in collaboration with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). According to Isaah Mhlanga, Chief Economist at RMB, the report is designed to provide insight to uncover the underlying drivers of a country’s performance that inform its ranking. The report also highlights a number of trends across the various markets, and the role of innovation and economic complexity in driving growth is a central theme. Read on pp.16-17.

She says that women hold only 10% of senior positions in private equity and venture capital firms globally, and women-led enterprises collected less than 2.3% of global venture funding in 2020.
