There is a global shift in the way investors think about their investments - they want more accountability and are increasingly moving towards purpose-driven investment where they can make a positive impact through their assets, according to Malcolm Fair, Managing Director, RisCura. The firm launched a series of impact fund of funds – the first of its kind in South Africa.
There are already several asset managers with the capability to operate in these areas. However there is a need for more and a further goal of RisCura’s Impact Funds Series is to assist newer asset managers and investment teams in the SA Impact Investment space to provide return-optimising portfolios in the impact and infrastructure areas.
