Kibo Capital Partners (KCP) has invested in Blowplast, a producer of plastics packaging solutions in Kenya to support company’s expansion in East Africa and beyond.
Kibo Capital Partners (KCP) has invested in Blowplast, a producer of plastics packaging solutions in Kenya to support company’s expansion in East Africa and beyond.
The investment was done through the Kibo Fund II.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Blowplast is one of East Africa’s leading producers of plastic packaging solutions, which serves a wide variety of industries both in the Kenyan as well as the wider East African markets.
Products include value-added food grade packaging items and other specialized solutions.
“Our partnership with Kibo Capital will support our growth strategy and ability to increase capacity and product offerings in Kenya and other growth markets,” Sanjay Brahmbhatt, Managing Director of Blowpast, said.
Kibo Capital Partners is the manager of the Kibo Funds I and II, private equity funds that invest across Eastern and Southern Africa and the islands of the Indian Ocean since 2008.
