Sendmarc was launched in 2018 by Sam Hutchinson, Keith Thompson, and Sacha Matulovich.
These key founding members were the pioneers in identifying a need for a safer and more secure email environment for small to large companies.
Sendmarc provides the setup, implementation and reporting functionality for a global email protection standard known as DMARC. This protocol is designed to give email domain owners the ability to protect their domains from unauthorised use, such as impersonation attacks or email spoofing.
By accelerating the implementation of DMARC, Sendmarc enables organizations to protect not only themselves, but their customers, suppliers and the whole world from impersonation attacks on the implementing organization’s domain.
Sendmarc’s revenue has grown at an average of 30% month-on-month since January 2021 and processed circa 400 million emails per month on their platform.
This is a substantial growth from the previous 1.5 billion emails processed during their first eight months after going live.
In addition, Sendmarc have grown their customer base 14 times during the last 14 months.
These customers include 35 JSE listed companies as well as some international clients.
Sendmarc has become the leading cyber security platform in Africa solving the phishing and spoofing problem.
Sendmarc’s expansion plans include entering International markets, while the company continues to build its presence in South Africa.
