The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has appointed Michael J. Levitin as General Counsel.
The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has appointed Michael J. Levitin as General Counsel.
Leading a dynamic legal team, Levitin will provide authoritative legal advice and direction on all USTDA program and operational activities.
He will represent USTDA in connection with matters affecting the Agency and provide legal advice and guidance to the Director on broad issues related to the Agency’s mission, overall conduct, strategic direction and effectiveness.
Levitin brings over 25 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, helping clients address strategic issues and complete transactions.
He was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
During his tenure at Wilmer Hale, he advised senior executives and boards of directors on a wide range of legal issues, including domestic and international transactions, statutory and regulatory matters, governance, and strategic projects.
Levitin received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
