LeapFrog Investments has appointed Raimund Snyders as a Partner in the Africa Financial Services team, based in the company’s Johannesburg office.
 
Snyders is one of the most experienced financial services leaders on the African continent. 

He joins LeapFrog from Old Mutual Group where he was CEO of Mutual & Federal and led a turnaround of the company as part of the Old Mutual Group’s strategy to establish itself as a leading financial services group across Africa. 

During his 27-year career with the company he held executive roles including COO and Head of Distribution for Old Mutual’s African operations; Executive General Manager, Old Mutual Life Assurance Co (South Africa); CEO, Old Mutual Life Assurance Co (Namibia); Managing Director, Old Mutual Investment Services.
 
Snyders will bring his experience as a CEO and operator on the continent to build high performance and value in LeapFrog’s partner companies.
 
He joins a leadership team that includes some of the world’s leading private equity, insurance and emerging markets specialists, including Andrew Rothery, former Chairman of Archer Capital.
