Imara Holdings has appointed Harry J. Wulfsohn to its Board of Directors with effect from August 4, 2015.

Wulfsohn will serve as an Executive Director with specific responsibility for Business Development.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom in 1998 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services and investment banking sectors in Africa, Europe and the UK.
Wulfsohn currently serves as a Director at Fleming Wulfsohn Africa (FWA), Imara’s minority shareholder.
Wulfsohn has looked after the Wulfsohn family interests in various businesses across Central and Southern Africa over many years, and launched Aventine Capital in 2013 to source, invest and actively manage private equity and real estate opportunities.
He joined the Stenham Group as part of the trade finance division in London and then in Johannesburg providing debt funding to SMEs in Europe and Central and Southern Africa.
Wulfsohn then returned to London as COO of the Asset Management division and later as Head of the Institutional Business Development division, responsible for transforming Stenham from a multi-family office with $1bn AUM in 2004 into an institutional fund manager with $6.5bn AUM by 2011.
Imara serves African markets with funds under management exceeding $536.09m.
The Group operates from offices in Angola, Botswana, South Africa and the UK as well as associate offices in Malawi, Mauritius, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Imara has also partnered with Chapel Hill Denham in Nigeria, Sterling Capital in Kenya, Namibia Equity Brokers in Namibia.
