Maitland, a global advisory and fund administration firm, has appointed Maureen Erasmus to the Board as a Non-Executive Director, following confirmation by shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting.

Erasmus joins Maitland amidst a period of rapid global growth for the firm, following expansions into the UK and North America, as well as the launch of its AIFMD management company in Luxembourg.

Commenting on her appointment, Erasmus said: “Maitland is a dynamic, fast- growing and international business, with client service, and corporate governance at its core. The thoughtful business model of Maitland focuses on delivering a wide range of quality services in an innovative, integrated manner, focussed on optimising centres of excellence within the firm which is perfectly suited to the modern financial ecosystem.”

Erasmus has over three decades of experience at the very top of the management consulting, investment banking and wealth management industries through which she has developed deep expertise in corporate strategy, organisational change, firm-wide risk management, acquisitions and corporate governance.

This experience makes her ideally suited to support Maitland’s continued expansion at a strategic level.

Based largely in London and New York, Erasmus has previously led corporate growth strategies – including geographic expansion – for a number of major global financial institutions, including whilst a Partner at A.T. Kearney and as Lead Strategy Advisor for Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.

She is currently Partner for Financial Services at leading management consultancy Bain & Company.
Erasmus also sits on the Board of several other companies, both listed and not-for-profit.
