Actis, a growth markets investor, has appointed Glen Matsumoto as a Partner in the firm.

Matsumoto will be focused on exploring growth options for the firm’s real assets business.

He will initially be based in New York and report to Actis’ executive committee.

Matsumoto is an investment management professional with extensive experience investing in infrastructure companies.

Up until July 2015, he headed the New York City Office of EQT Partners and was one of the founding partners for the firm’s infrastructure business line.

Previously he held positions with Macquarie, GE Capital and ABB.

From 1994-1995, Matsumoto held an appointed position at the Export-Import Bank of the US.

Prior to that, Glen was with Mission Energy Company, a global independent power company.

Torbjorn Caesar, Senior Partner at Actis, said: “Glen and I first worked together at ABB where he built and ran the successful structured finance business. I am delighted to be reunited with him again at Actis.”

“He brings with him an excellent track record of adding value to businesses founded on strong relationships. His decision to join Actis is a great endorsement of the strength of our existing platform and the conviction we all share in the future of our business,” he added.
