ACA appoints Odu as CEO

African Capital Alliance (ACA), an independent investment firm focusing on Nigeria and the broader West African region, has appointed Cyril Odu as its new CEO, following Okey Enelamah resignation as CEO of ACA after 18 years of service to the firm.

African Capital Alliance (ACA), an independent investment firm focusing on Nigeria and the broader West African region, has appointed Cyril Odu as its new CEO, following Okey Enelamah resignation as CEO of ACA after 18 years of service to the firm.

Okey Enelamah, Co-Founder and former CEO of ACA was appointed by Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the Minister for Industry, Trade & Investment of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Cyril Odu joined ACA in March 2012 and most recently was serving as the Head of the Energy Team.

Since joining ACA, Odu has concluded a series of deals in the energy sector and is regarded as an expert in the investment space in Nigeria.

Earlier in his career, at Mobil, Cyril was the Vice Chairman of the Board of Mobil Producing Nigeria where he had responsibility for Business Services, and he also the Chief Financial Officer of the Upstream Affiliates of ExxonMobil in Nigeria.

In addition to responsibility for Financial Controllers, Treasury and Tax functions, he also had In-Country administrative oversight over Procurement, Information Technology, Real Estate and Facilities Management.

Odu attended the University of Ibadan and graduated with a degree in Geology and an MBA from the Texas Southern University.
