Carlyle promotes two MDs to senior investment roles

The Carlyle Group has named Managing Director Brian Bernasek as Head of the Global Industrial and Transportation team, and Managing Director Stephen Wise as Co-Head of the Global Healthcare team, with immediate effect.
The Carlyle Group has named Managing Director Brian Bernasek as Head of the Global Industrial and Transportation team, and Managing Director Stephen Wise as Co-Head of the Global Healthcare team, with immediate effect.
Bernasek succeeds Greg Ledford, a 25-year Carlyle veteran, who will continue as a Managing Director on the US Buyout team and board member of Axalta Coatings Systems, Greater China Intermodal and ADT Korea.
Since joining Carlyle in 2000, Bernasek has led or been a key contributor to many investments, including Allison Transmission, Rexnord Corporation, The Hertz Corporation, Signode Industrial Group, AxleTech International and Accudyne Industries.
Prior to joining Carlyle, he held positions with Investcorp International and Morgan Stanley & Co.
Wise joins Karen Bechtel as Co-Head of the Global Healthcare team.
Since joining Carlyle in 2006, he has led or been a key contributor to many healthcare investments around the world.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Wise worked with private equity firms JLL Partners and J.W. Childs Associates, and Credit Suisse.
